Rated one of the top Labor Day Tournament in Region I, the OBGC Capital Cup teams' play at some of the most spectacular soccer complexes in the country. Freeman Fields at OBGC Park and Lucido Fields at Covenant Park will host most of the event this year, as well as other fields around the Olney Area for the three-day event held over Labor Day Weekend (Local teams may play Friday night)

The OBGC Capital Cup – Labor Day Tournament is hosted by the Olney Boys and Girls Community (OBGC) and Elite Tournaments. This event is currently rated one of the top Labor Day Tournaments in Region I of the Mid-Atlantic. This ranked GotSport event is open for Boys and Girls teams U8 through U19, with brackets in each age group varying based on the number and quality of applications. This is a three-day event played in a Championship format over Labor Day weekend, with the possibility of local teams playing on Friday night

*A separate performance bond of $350 is required for U14-U19 age groups. If your team does not forfeit a match or violate the tournament rules the bond will not be cashed and will be destroyed after the tournament is completed.

*As of November 2022 GotSoccer will charge a “GotSport Software Fee” at each payment transaction, and for each registrant, in order for your team to register to participate with my Club or in a Tournament.

There will be a $100 late fee for all applications received after August 1st.  Any team that applied after the application deadline will not have guaranteed acceptance into the tournament.

Elite Tournaments is pleased to announce the appointment of Halpern Travel as our official Tournament Housing Coordinator for the OBGC Capital Cup.
All non-commuting teams participating in the tournaments are required to book their hotel accommodations through Halpern Travel, our Official Tournament Housing Partner. Please do not call the hotels directly; rooms must be booked through the tournament reservation link provided by Halpern Travel or by calling 888.640.6400.
Teams that are based within a 100-mile radius to the tournament venue and are planning to commute are exempt from complying with the tournament housing policy.
Halpern Travel comes to us highly recommended for their commitment to providing professional service and for their attention to detail. They have extensive experience in tournament housing coordination. Halpern Travel secure, online hotel reservation system allows teams to view information about hotels, including rate, area location and amenities. Teams are able to reserve their rooms and to make changes to their reservations 24/7.
Clubs requiring a large block of rooms for multiple teams should contact Halpern Travel for special assistance at 888.640.6400.

    • Please handwrite jersey numbers if not included
    • Please handwrite guest player names and jersey numbers to the bottom of the page

    • No birth certificates accepted

Apparel pre-orders for this event are sold as TEAM ORDERS of 10+ items. Orders that meet that minimum will receive a free item as well. Shirts will also be available onsite at Blandair Park, Covenant Park, OBGC Park, and Troy Park.

COLLEGE COACHES

Player Profile Books

Please make sure that you update your player profile information in the GotSoccer system so it is accessible by college coaches. You may need to contact your team manager or coach to add this information. This is the information that will be given to college coaches looking to recruit players.

Player Self-Recruiting

Elite Tournaments highly recommends that players reach out to the schools that they are interested in playing for. Many coaches come to our events to scout for pick up players, but will not realize that you interested in playing for their team unless you reach out to them! We also know that you have many schools that you are looking to play for that are not currently signed up to attend our event. You are encouraged to reach out to schools you are looking to attend, and let them know which events you will be playing in this season. We welcome you to invite these coaches to attend this event. If you have a coach that you are inviting to attend, please have them pre-register at the link above.

DONATION DRIVE

Elite Tournaments has partnered with Casey Cares to host a pajama and gift card drive at the OBGC Capital Cup. Inspired by the memory of a Casey Cares child, this program provides new sleepwear and pajama-themed parties to children on extended hospital stays. They are on track to provide more than 24,000 new pairs of pajamas to pediatric patients at area hospitals this year alone. Their biggest needs are always infant and teen/adult sized PJs, but they accept any new pairs of pajamas. Please keep tags on them so the families know they are new!  Gift cards can also be donated in any denomination for their At Home Movie & Pizza Nights. Some examples of their preferred stores and restaurants are Amazon, Fandango, Netflix, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, Dominos, and any local grocery store.
