
The 21st annual SAC Columbus Day Tournament takes place in both Columbia and Edgewood, MD, at the home of SAC, Covenant Park, and the Coppermine CopperPlex. This event is open to all levels of competitions for Boys and Girls ages U8-U15. The format for this event will be Championship style, with the first and second place team within each bracket receiving awards. The number of brackets will vary in age group based on the number of tournament entries.

Event Details
The Applied Teams link for 2026 will be posted close to the Application Deadline. Schedules will be posted September 28th. Please be sure to continuously check your team's schedule, as locations, times, and days are subject to change leading up to the event. All scheduling requests are considered by the tournament committee, but not guaranteed.

Application Deadline: Friday September 11th
For U13-U15 age groups, no more than 18 players are allowed to be dressed in uniform per match.
Tournament Insurance Policy
Tournament registration fees are non-refundable. However, teams who purchase Event Cancellation Team Coverage through ViCoverage, powered by Vertical Insure, may be eligible for reimbursement up to 100% if the event is canceled or shortened due to unsafe playing conditions caused by weather. Refund eligibility is determined based on games played versus games guaranteed and is paid directly to the team by Vertical Insure.
Example: If your team registers for a 3-game guarantee tournament and only 1 game is completed before weather conditions make fields unsafe or unplayable, covered teams may be eligible for reimbursement for the 2 games not played. If the tournament is canceled before any games begin, covered teams may be eligible for up to a 100% refund of the registration fee.

Payment Details
There will be a $100 late fee for all applications received after the application deadline. Any team that applies after the application deadline will not have guaranteed acceptance into the tournament.
A separate performance bond of $350 is required for U13-U15 age groups. If your team does not forfeit a match or violate the tournament rules the bond will not be cashed and will be destroyed after the tournament is completed.

Booking Requirements
All non-commuting teams participating in the tournaments must book their hotel accommodations through Halpern Travel, our Official Tournament Housing Partner.
Please do not call the hotels directly
Rooms must be booked through the tournament reservation link provided by Halpern Travel or by calling 888.640.6400.
Teams within a 100-mile radius of the tournament venue who plan to commute are exempt from the housing policy.
