Eat Like A Local

Looking for some local food spots to try this weekend? We asked our Event Operations Manager and “Foodie”, Jessica Gillespie, for restaurant suggestions. Check out the list below, wipe the drool from your mouth, and try a few this weekend!

One of the greatest parts of living in this area is the easy access to the delicious, affordable, and diverse food scene. Below, I’ve linked my top restaurants by area and listed a few of my favorite items on each menu.

CANTON (Baltimore)

The BoatHouse – BoatHouse Chopped Salad, The White Riviera Flatbread, Salmon BLT

BMORE LICKS – they have over 100 different soft-serve ice cream flavors! I can’t name just a few delicious options since they are all wonderful!

FEDERAL HILL (Baltimore)

Abbey Burger Bistro – Waffle Fry Nachos, customized burgers (more options than you could possibly need), Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae

Blue Moon Café (locations in both Federal Hill and Fells Point) Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives wasn’t wrong – the Captain Crunch French Toast and the Sweet Baby Jesus are incredible

FELLS POINT (Baltimore)

Red Star Bar & Grill – Crab Dip, Pot Roast French Dip, and Poblano Burger

Thames Street Oyster House –  Lobster & Iceberg Chopped Salad, Mussels, and Lobster Mac N’Cheese

Waterfront Hotel – Smoke on the Waterfront Burger, Cajun Mac & Cheese, Tortilla Shrimp Salad

HARBOR EAST (Baltimore)

Cava Mezze – Crazy Feta Dip, Spanakopita, Crispy Pork Belly, Mini Gyro

COLUMBIA/ELLICOTT CITY

La Palapa – I have never had a meal that was not super yummy at this restaurant!

Manor Hill Tavern – Maryland State Fair (so delicious!), any of their Brick Oven Pizzas, Campfire Cake for dessert

Victoria Gastro Pub – Poutine, Ricotta Gnocchi, they have outdoor seating!

Shake Shack – not originally local to the area but always delicious!
