Registration will be at both locations and all teams must register NO EXCEPTIONS between 3pm-9pm on Friday March 19 for the Girls Weekend and Friday March 26 for the Boys Weekend.

What to bring to regsitration:

1. USYS Roster or US Club Soccer Roster. If you have guest players please add them to the bottom of your roster.

2. USYS player pass for USYS roster or US Club Soccer player passes for US Club Soccer Roster. All passes must be the same.

3. Medical release forms for all players. These forms can be from your club or league but they have to be for the 2009/2010 seasonal year.

 

Location

The primary sites will be Covenant Park in Ellicott City, Cedar Lane Park in Bel Air, Harford Polo Grounds Jarrettsville, Carsins Run Turf Farm in Bel Air, Muldoon's Turf Farm in Poolesville, and Supplee Fieldsin Laurel, Maryland.

Hotels

All teams that require hotel rooms are to book with THS, this is a acceptance requirement. Any team not booking with THS will not be accetped into the tournament. The deadline to book your rooms is February 5th, 2010. Once the list is posted we recommend you book your rooms as soon as possible.

 

Age Groups & Eligibility

  • U12 (11 v 11) - U18
    • U12-U13 - $750
    • U14-U15 - $775*
    • U16-U18 - $800*

      *All U15-U19 teams will be required to send in an additional check for $250 (Performance Bond) made payable to Championship Tournaments. This bond check will be destroyed after the tournament

  • 3 games minimum

The Baltimore Mania Soccer Tournament Presented By Under Armour is open to all competitive club teams. This is a USYSA sanctioned tournament through the Maryland State Youth Soccer Association. All teams must be affiliated and their players registered with USYSA through their respective state associations or US Club Soccer.  Teams must be in good standing with their state association to play in our tournament.  Permission to Travel Forms (not necessary for Region I teams) unless from NEW JERSEY or Connecticut, validated State player passes with photos, official team rosters and medical release forms (non- notarized) will be required of all teams accepted into the tournament.If you have previously registered for another tournament whose applications are processed by SoccerScheduler, you will already have a team page in their system. If this is your first application to a tournament processed by SoccerScheduler, you will create your team page at the start of the application process.

Please read all of the notes and directions on the application.

ESPECIALLY NOTE that you must send your tournament fee payment check by postal mail to Championship Tournaments immediately after you apply online and receive your application confirmation number. You must enclose a copy of your confirmation e-mail with your check to assure your check is credited to the proper team. Mail requiring a signature (certified, registered, etc.) will not be accepted.

DEADLINE: Deadline for on-line registration and OUR RECEIPT OF ENTRY FEE AND ENCLOSURES is January 5, 2010. Applications received after January 5 will be placed on a waiting list.

ENCLOSURES
: You must submit by the deadline in one envelope:

  1. Your confirmation of registration from SoccerScheduler.com.
  2. A check or money order for the full tournament fee payable to Championship Tournaments (U.S. DOLLARS ONLY), application will not be considered complete without payment. If your team is accepted, the fee is non-refundable. If your team is accepted and later withdraws, the fee is non-refundable and sanctions may be placed against your team for participation in future tournaments. Should your team not be accepted, the fee will be returned by February 1, 2010

ACCEPTANCE:

Acceptance notification will be posted on this web site by January 20, 2010. Upon acceptance, teams will need to complete a number of tasks, including:

  • Booking hotel reservations with THS.  All teams that are accepted in this tournament and have a need to stay overnight must use the THS reservation system. Any team that does not use THS will be disqualified from the tournament.  No refund will be issued.
  • Teams need to enter the names and uniform numbers of their players for use in the tournament program on their specific SoccerScheduler team page
  • U-15 - U-19 teams, enter player profile forms on team page for on-line access by coaches
  • If a team withdraws after the acceptance list is posted, that team will lose their entire application fee

Registration (what to bring)

Teams are required to present at registration:

  • State Association or US Club Soccer approved roster plus submit two copies of that roster
  • Player cards for each player, including guest players
  • Non-Notarized medical release for each player, including guest players
    • The medical release forms must be signed within the last 12 months
  • State Association approved permission to travel form, if necessary

Games, Rules, Awards

  • For all age groups, the usual format is three preliminary games plus a championship final.  Two matches on Saturday, one on Sunday morning and the final on Sunday afternoon.  Depending upon the number of participants in an age group, some divisions will play two preliminary games on Saturday, either a semifinal or consolation game on Sunday morning and the final on Sunday afternoon.
  • All games are played in accordance with FIFA rules, except as specifically modified by Tournament Rules. A full set of Tournament rules will available online by clicking Rules in the left menu
  • Awards are presented to first-place and second place teams in each division.

Rosters & Guest Players
The following are the maximum roster size per age groups:

    • U16 - U19: 22 players (only 18 may be in uniform and eligible to play in each match)
    • U12 (11v11) to U15: 18 players

A team may use no more than (4) guest players, but many not exceed the number of eligible players on the roster.
